The Edmonton site recruited 808 mothers who are all participating in the core components of the CHILD Study.
Unique to the Edmonton site: a series of studies on the role of sleep disordered breathing and its impact on cognitive growth and development. The children in this group were invited to participate in a sleep study, and their parents completed various questionnaires on sleep patterns.
Participating Institutions: University of Alberta; Alberta Health Services: Sturgeon, Royal Alexandra (Lois Hole Hospital for Women) and Stollery Children’s Hospital; Covenant Health: Grey Nuns and Misericordia Hospitals.
